Mr. Emmanuel Juan, director of the Cervantes Institute in Oran, accompanied by Mrs. Patricia, in charge of educational and cultural affairs of the same institute, as well as a delegation, were welcomed on Monday morning, May 6, 2024, at the Faculty of Letters and Languages of the University of Tlemcen, in particular the Spanish Department, which has been actively active since the beginning of the current academic year after its promotion from a simple stream to a department.

The delegation of the Cervantes Institute was received by the dean of the faculty, Pr. Ghouti Hadjoui, and the head of the Spanish Department, Pr. Sidi Mohamed Ben Sahla, along with their staff and fellow teachers, in front of a large number of Spanish students, all gathered in the faculty auditorium. After the Dean’s words of welcome to the guests of the Faculty, Mr. Juan Emmanuel presented a brilliant presentation on “The Spanish Door in the World,"  in which he explained the strategy and general objectives of the Institute. The participants followed closely and participated in a constructive discussion on the central topic of the Spanish language, a living language: «The Spanish language is a language of numbers" and the academic activities of the institute. This presentation was followed by a speech by Mrs. Patricia on «Cervantes Institute: Tools for Professional Development.

What was remarkable in this encounter was the interaction and reaction of students eager to discover and experience everything that helps build and refine their scientific personality and contributes to their qualitative training.
